Mohammed Kudus Being Explored To Join Man United On-Loan A deal From Ajax.

Manchester United are interested in exploring possible options to sign Ajax forward Mohammed Kudus, as they continue their search for a striker especially after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo by mutual consent in November.

United boss Erik ten Hag who is now left short of options going forward, urgently wants to recruit a new striker during the January transfer window with the Red Devil's pushing for a place in the Premier League top four.

Despite previously being heavily linked to sign Ten Hag's fellow countryman Cody Gakpo from PSV Eindhoven, they lost out in the race to arch-rivals Liverpool, after failing to complete a transfer for their long time target and now Kudus appears a viable alternative.

Man United had reportedly saved around £15m in wages after terminating Cristiano Ronaldo 's lucrative salary, but the club heirarchy insist on working on a limited budget.

The Glazer family are welcoming offers for a partial investment or full takeover at Old Trafford.

Acccording to reports, talks have taken place behind the scenes over a loan deal for Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus with an option to buy in the summer.

Ajax are demanding for at least £35million to part ways with Kudus, who almost joined Everton in August but ended staying in Holland.

Kudus value had increased following his impressive exploits with the Black Stars of Ghana at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar as a standout player, in which he scored twice in a 3-2 win over South Korea.

The 22-year-old whose contract in Amsterdam doesn't expire until June 2025, is capable of playing in a number of positions upfront.

Kudus has openly admitted his preference to play as a number 10, but has also excelled on the right hand side and as a centre forward, which is currently United's problem position.

He scored against Liverpool earlier this season in the Champions League at Anfield.

If the transfer is successfully completed, Kudus would be the third player Ten Hag would sign from Ajax for United, following deals for Lisandro Martinez and Antony last summer.

Joao Felix, Memphis Depay and Tammy Abraham have also all been linked with move to United who are consigned over the fitness of lone central striker Anthony Martial.

United return to action in the FA Cup third round match at home to Everton on Friday night, before playing Charlton in the EFL Cup quarter-final on Tuesday, January 10.

Their next Premier League game is the Manchester derby at Old Trafford on Saturday, January 14.
