OFFICIAL: Mykhailo Mudryk Arrives At Stamford Bridge After Completing A Transfer From Shakhtar Donetsk

New Chelsea signing, Mykhailo Mudryk, has been spotted at Stamford Bridge ahead of Sunday’s Premier League game against Crystal Palace.

Mudryk was pictured in one of the directors’ boxes in the stands during the game posing for pictures, and was paraded on the pitch at half time.

The Ukrainian international, who turned 22 earlier this month, has put pen to paper on an eight-and-a-half year contract with the Blues until June 2031 to seal his move to Stamford Bridge.

Mudryk arrived in the UK on Saturday for his medical, after Chelsea hijacked Arsenal deal for the winger after representatives travelled to meet officials of the Ukrainian side at their training camp in Turkey.

Both the West London club and Shakhtar Donetsk agreed to a €100 million fee for the transfer.

He was widely expected to play for the current Premier League leaders Arsenal who led the race for months, with the player making little secret of his desire to join Arsenal on social media, but the Gunners failed to wrap up negotiations in over two weeks.

‘I’m so happy to sign for Chelsea,’ Mudryk said after completing his move.

‘This is a huge club, in a fantastic league and it is a very attractive project for me at this stage of my career. I’m excited to meet my new team-mates and I’m looking forward to working and learning under Graham Potter and his staff.’

Mudryk becomes Chelsea's fifth signing this January transfer window, joining David Datro Fofana, Joao Felix, Benoit Badiashile and Andrey Santos. He would wear the number 15 shirt for the Blues.

His first match for Graham Potter’s men is likely to be against Liverpool next weekend
