Mo Salah Breaks Premier League Record As Liverpool Trash Leeds United 6-1.

Mohamed Salah breaks another Premier League record following Liverpool's emphatic 6-1 win over Leeds United on Monday night.

The Egyptian star was looking back to his best and scoring twice to finish a pair of well-executed counter attacks, which makes him become the player to score the most left-footed goals in Premier League history.

He netted his 106th and 107th left-footed goals in the Premier League, more than any other player, eclipsing Robbie Fowler who scored 105 goals with his left foot during his career.

Following a slow start to the encounter at Elland Road, January signing Cody Gakpoopened the scoring for Jurgen Klopp’s side at Elland Road, while Salah doubled Liverpool’s lead with an excellent near-post finish.

In the second half, Salah struck his second of the game with another near finish which takes his overall tally to 107 left-footed goals.

Salah has now scored nine Premier League goals against Leeds United more than any other Liverpool player, averaging one every 51 minutes, while overall, only Alan Shearer (20) and Thierry Henry (10) have more goals.

The former Chelsea player, Salah joined Liverpool in July 2017 from AS Roma and signed a long-term contract with the Reds for a reported club record fee of £36.5m, eclipsing the £35m spent on Andy Carroll in 2011.

He was assigned the number 11 shirt previously worn by Roberto Firmino who instead switched to number 9.

The 30-year-old is likely to keep this record for many years to come as his nearest challenger is currently Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez, who has scored 65 goals with his left foot in the Premier League.

All other players in the top 10 list have either retired or have left the Premier League.
