Inter Milan Are CROWNED 2022/23 Coppa Italia Champions After Victory Over Fiorentina.
Inter Milan have emerged champions of the Coppa Italia following a 2-1 victory against Fiorentina in the final on Wednesday night.
Inter Milan manager Simone Inzaghi made nine changes to his side that lost 3-1 to an already Serie A champions Napoli at the weekend, while Vincenzo Italiano made ten changes to his side that drew to Torino.
Fiorentina took an early lead through winger Nicolas Gonzalez who sparked hopes of Vincenzo Italiano's men, when he prodded home a cross inside three minutes to stun an electric Stadio Olimpico crowd in Rome.
But his compatriot Lautaro Martinez inspired a magnificent comeback, as the striker scored twice in the 28th and 37th minute to help the Nerazzurri retain the trophy.
The two exquisite finishes from the Argentine World Cup winner before half-time was enough as they held onto their lead in a frantic second half despite Fiorentina’s repeated forays forward.

The defeat for Fiorentina’s extends their long drought claiming their first piece of silverware in 22 years.
Though La Viola have another chance for silverware when they face West Ham in the Europa Conference League final in two weeks.
Inter who have now won the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana and will face Premier League champions Manchester City in the Champions League final on Saturday June 10.
