OFFICIAL: Saka Out, Salah In The Premier League Team of the Season XI.

EA Sports have revealed the FIFA 23 Premier League TOTS squad, with players from Arsenal and Man City dominating the list.

The Premier League TOTS usually contains some of the most desirable cards of the season, and FIFA 23 is no exception.

The Gunners have six players included and City have three. But there's also three players from Man United, two players from Newcastle, two from Tottenham, one from Liverpool and one from Chelsea respectively.

Arsenal stars Oleksandr Zinchenko, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Gabriel Martinelli, Aaron Ramsdale and William Saliba all feature in the FIFA 23 Premier League TOTS squad, with the Gunners having double the number of players included compared to Man City, with Kevin De Bruyne, Ruben Dias and Erling Haaland the only City players to be included, despite them being on course to win the Premier League in 2022/23.

Though De Bruyne, Haaland and Dias are the top-rated players in the squad, given ratings of 97, 97 and 96 respectively.

Newcastle duo Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier are both included after stellar seasons, with Man United trio Casemiro, Rashford and Varane also featuring alongside Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son of Spurs, Mohamed Salah of Liverpool and Reece James from Chelsea.

The Premier League also announced its 2022/23 Team of the Season with players from Arsenal dominating the list.

The dream starting eleven (XI), which was presented by EA Sports and selected by fans was revealed on Friday May 5, 2023.

With the two top teams, currently locked in a title race, Arsenal have the biggest representation in the XI after their lengthy spell at the top, followed by title rivals Manchester City, who have three inclusions.

As expected, the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland and Martin Odegaard are all included, but there are some surprise exclusions, which are Arsenal's Bukayo Saka, Man City’s Rodri and Man United’s Lisandro Martinez.

Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Martin Odegaard were the four Gunners stars to make the cut.

Meanwhile, Man City were represented by Ruben Dias, Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, while Marcus Rashford and Casemiro got in from local rivals Man United.

Kieran Trippier is the only Newcastle player to make the team.

Despite scoring 18 league goals for Jurgen Klopp's side this season, Salah's inclusion has raised eyebrows amongst some supporters, as there was no place for Bukayo Saka who was snubbed from the team XI.

Saka has been Arsenal's talisman in the 2022/23 season, and even became the first player in the Premier League campaign to hit double figures for both goals and assists.

The 21-year-old winger has been directly involved in 24 goals in 34 Premier League appearances this season, registering 13 goals and 11 assists.

He’s one of just six players to have reached double figures for both goals and assists in one of Europe’s top five leagues in 2022/23 after Lionel Messi, Neymar, Antoine Griezmann, Randal Kolo Muani and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
