Andre Onana Admits uncertainty Over Inter Milan Future Amids Chelsea And Man United Transfer Link.

Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana admits he’s uncertain over where his future lies following the club’s Champions League final 1-0 defeat to Manchester City on Saturday night.

Onana has been one of the Nerazzurri's star performers since his move from Ajax last summer, and he lived up to the hype during the Champions League final defeat to treble winners Man City.

Although, the 27-year-old couldn’t prevent Rodri’s second half winner, which crowned City champions of Europe for the first time in their history.

He showed great composure and vision to pass the ball, even in an intense high-profile European final at the Atatürk stadium, Istanbul, Turkey.

The Cameroonian shot-stopper has been heavily linked with a move away from the San Siro given his spectacular performances for Inter this season.

While he would like to stay at the club beyond the summer, he could be forced out during the transfer window after only one season.

According to reports, Inter's financial woes mean that they may have to raise funds through player sales, with Onana one of their key assets that could return a large fee.

Chelsea are one of the top European clubs keeping tabs on Onana, while Tottenham have also been keeping a close eye on his situation, though it's believed they may prioritise a move for Brentford's David Raya.

The Blues are keen on signing a new goalkeeper, and have identified the shot-stopper as their first-choice target to become Mauricio Pochettino's new number one.

They have reportedly agreed personal terms £52m with the Inter Milan goalkeeper.

Kepa Arrizabalaga and Edouard Mendy are facing uncertain futures at Stamford Bridge, as they are not appealing to new manager Pochettino who considers the position a priority, and he will be backed with significant funds this summer transfer window.

Speaking to reporters after the Champions League final, Onana admitted that he will leave if the club asks him to, though he would prefer to stay.

“I don’t know. The truth is that I’m happy here, but then at a certain and professional level, you never know how it will go... Said Onana.

“I have no problems with Inter. I have an excellent relationship with them, and I’m at their disposal. They decide, and i will do what they tell me.”

On the other hand, Manchester United fans have begged the club to sign Andre Onana over Jordan Pickford.

Reports have emerged that United are now looking to sign the England No.1 Pickford from Everton this summer.

It comes as Manager Erik ten Hag looks for replacements for David de Gea, whose future and role at the club next season remains uncertain.

And the Red Devils boss is keen on bringing in a goalkeeper that fits his philosophy and can play out from the back, something De Gea has struggled with.

Onana who played under ten Hag at Ajax, showed off his range of passing and vision as he brilliantly set up attacks from goal.

A compilation of his distribution has Man United supporters in awe as they hope to secure his services ahead of the new season.

The Red Devils fans have instead insisted they would like to see the Inter star Onana at Old Trafford.

That despite Pickford being a fine goalkeeper, he is not as confident with the ball at his feet as Onana, and rather than chasing Pickford whose shot stopping ability can be questioned sometimes, United should increase their transfer budget and sign Onana if they truly want an upgrade over De Gea.

Following Saturday's final, Man City boss Pep Guardiola reserved special praise for Onana.

"When you have a goalkeeper like Onana who can read perfectly where everyone is to pass to, with [Hakan] Calhanoglu and [Nicolo] Barella, then the strikers hold it up and move the ball around. It is very, very difficult. It would be a tiny bit easier without this goalkeeper, but still very tough," Guardiola said in his post-match press conference.
