Burna Boy, Anitta, And Alesso Set To Perform At The UCL Final Between Man City Vs Inter Milan

Nigerian music superstar Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu better known as Burna Boy is set to deliver a spectacular performance today at the 2023 UEFA Champions League Final in Istanbul, Turkey




CloudNine Sports had reported in March that Burna Boy will co-headline the competition’s final kick-off show by Pepsi, to be watched by billions across the world and will reportedly earn a cool $2million as announced by UEFA.


The Grammy award-winner, will thrill over 75,000 fans inside the Ataturk Olympic Stadium to his melodious tunes, as England champions Manchester City play Italian giants Inter Milan for the ultimate European club football glory.


The self-acclaimed African Giant who boasts of six studio albums within a decade from L.I.F.E, On a Spaceship, Outside, African Giant, Twice as Tall to Love, Damini, will become the first African artiste to ever perform in an UEFA Champions League final, and the first African artiste to headline the Pepsi Champions League final kick off show.


This comes just a week after he staged a sold-out concert at the 80,000-capacity West Ham United’s London Stadium which was a testament to his urge to take over the world stage. 

The 3-hour nonstop concert drew an incredible crowd of fans, completely selling out the stadium and cementing a historic moment in his flourishing career.



Burna Boy will not be alone on the Pepsi stage in Istanbul as he would perform alongside Brazilian superstar Anitta and Swedish sensation DJ Alesso who were also announced as headliners for the Champions League Final Kick Off Show.


Anita is a 30-year-old Brazilian singer who gained worldwide popularity in just a few years. As a result of her take off, she was to sing in the preview of the final.


31-year-old Swedish DJ and record producer, Alesso will get the party started, lighting up the stadium with his beats with plenty to enjoy in the Pepsi Kickoff show, before Burna's magical performance.


Burna Boy is a huge football enthusiast and he has not hidden his admiration for Premier League club, Manchester United with occasional visits to Old Trafford to watch his team play.




This is not the first major sporting event that Burna Boy has headlined,  In February, the 31-year-old, performed at the 2023 NBA All-Star Game half-time show in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. He was among the trio of Nigeria music stars Oscar-nominated singer and producer Tems and Rema.


Commenting on the performance, the African Giant said “As a huge football fan myself, I know it doesn’t get any bigger than the UEFA Champions League. That’s why I’m so excited to be performing on the Pepsi stage at this year’s final.”


After this up next for Burna Boy is on Saturday, June 17, when he returns to the huge stadium, Gelredome,Arnhem, in The Netherlands, for the second leg of his ‘Love Damini’ Stadium tour. The first concert was sold-out, and the organizers, BonBon Entertainment, are optimistic that Burna Boy will repeat the feast again.


Record 14th time winners Real Madrid are currently the holders of the title after beating Liverpool 1-0 at the Stade de France, last season.
