Man United's Antony Has Been Accused Of ‘Domestic Violence, Threat and Bodily Injury’ By Ex-Girlfriend Gabriela Cavallin.

Manchester United winger, Antony, has been accused of domestic violence in his home country in Brazil.

Gabriela Cavallin, ex-girlfriend, of Antony has come forward accusing the footballer of domestic violence, threats and causing her injuries.

According to ESPN Brazil, Cavallin filed the police report, accusing the Man United forward on Monday 5 June at the 5th Women’s Police Station, in Tatuapé, East Zone of São Paulo.

She states that the events occured in May but was afraid and debating about whether or not to step forward with the accusations. The celebrity DJ and influencer does not state whether or not the alleged assault took place in Manchester or in Brazil.

In the report, Cavallin claims that she and Antony had a relationship for two years, having lived with him in Amsterdam, Holland, while he played for Ajax, and later in Manchester.

According to Cavallin, the first of the attacks took place in July 2022.

She reported that the first attack happened after she ended her relationship with Antony at a party at a nightclub in Vila Olímpia, in São Paulo. She claims that Antony removed her from the club with the help of security, before pulling her by the arm and pushing her against a car.

The incident report claims that she was 17 weeks pregnant at the time – Cavallin describes that she lost her baby on 21 July 2022, but does not relate this to the fact the first attack came in the same month as the loss of her child.

Cavallin reported that she started to date Antony again in August of that year, and moved with him from Holland to Manchester – the next attack is then reported to happen January 2023.

It is said in the report that Antony attacked her for “reasons of jealousy”, causing the displacement of her silicone prosthesis. She then was attended by two Manchester United doctors and had to undergo surgery in Presidente Prudente, in São Paulo, in April 2023.

Cavallin reported two more physical attacks that happened in England, with one having been witnessed by a friend of hers, as well as by Antony’s mother.

The report mentions that she was injured with a cut to her finger due to a glass broken by Antony – a photo of the scar was attached to the police report.

Cavallin also reported that Antony threatened her on 20 May 2023. Antony is said to have called her and said that “if he saw her with someone, he would kill her”.

She informed the police of a fear of Antony having access to a firearm because of his strong financial position, and also because he “still has many friends in the community where he was born”.

In the report, there are also details in which Antony showed “emotional loss” by stating that he would “kill himself” after fights between the couple.

Since the 28th of May, Cavallin claims to have had no further contact with the player.

She presented photos of injuries that would have been caused by the athlete’s aggression and said she also had other elements to present as evidence in the investigation.

Meanwhile, legal proceedings are expected to take center stage in the coming days after Police investigations.

Both Antony and his team Manchester United have not commented on the allegations, nor have they responded to questions from the Brazilian press.

This would second Man United player caught in a domestic violence scandal after Mason Greenwood’s rape saga which has twisted the career of the England international for almost two-years now.

Since leaving Ajax to join the Red Devils last summer, Antony has made 39 appearances for Man United, scoring 7 goals with 2 assists.

He missed the FA final 2-1 defeat against Man City due to the injury and will hope to return to action with the club when the pre-season starts.
