Samuel Chukwueze Set To Join AC Milan From Villarreal.

AC Milan have reportedly reached a final agreement with Villarreal over the price for Samuel Chukwueze, who could now officially join the Rossoneri in the coming days.

Chukwueze is currently out of Villarreal squad for the friendly game against Hannover 96, as He's on the verge of joining AC Milan as the paperwork and signing process will be completed next week.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, talks with Villarreal have progressing well, as Milan agrees to pay a total package of €28m for Chukwueze after an intense negotiations.

The report also added that Villarreal agreed to also lower their price. The sum consists of €20 million as the upfront payment, along with an additional €8 million in performance-based bonuses.

Chukwueze has just one year remaining on his current contract with Villarreal, hence why the Yellow Submarine are willing to cash in on him this summer rather than risk losing him leave for free in 12 months time.

The 24-year-old was named Best African player in LaLiga last season.

The Rossoneri have already held a successful discussions with the Nigeria international on personal terms, who is keen on the move. Chukwueze is expected to sign a five-year contract at San Siro, valid until the end of the 2027-28 season.

Chukwueze’s move to Milan will now be pushed through as quickly as possible with an official announcement expected over the weekend, or by Monday at the latest.

The Serie A giants are eager to fast-track the process, and are hopeful that Chukwueze will then be able to join manager Stefano Pioli and the rest of the Rossoneri squad in the United States to take part in the team’s pre-season tour against Real Madrid, Juventus, and Barcelona.

So far this summer, Milan have already brought in Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Luka Romero, Christian Pulisic and Tijjani Reijnders, as well as having Noah Okafor on the ground ready for a medical, meaning that Chukwueze would likely be the team’s seventh signing of the summer.
