Cristiano Ronaldo's Only Goal Sends Al-Nassr To The Final Of The Arab Cup Champions Cup.

Cristiano Ronaldo maintained his goal scoring streak for Al Nassr when he scored against Al Shorta in the Arab Club Champions Cup semifinal at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium on Wednesday.

After a slow start to the tournament, Al-Nassr are just a game away from winning the first trophy of the season.

In the 75th minute, Ronaldo converted a penalty to score the only goal of the match after new teammate Sadio Mane was brought down inside the box.

His goal helped Al Nassr to qualify for the final and the superstar seems to be in hot form a few days before the Saudi Premier League officially starts.

The 38-year-old is simply unstoppable this season having now scored four goals in four consecutive matches for his club, and actually the top scorer of the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup.

Apart from that, the five-time Ballon d'Or winner, had scored his team’s opener against Raja Casablanca when Al Nassr beat Raja Casablanca 3-1 in the quarters of the same tournament.

The Portuguese superstar scored in the 19th minute after being set up by his teammate Talisca. The Brazilian football player hoodwinked two defenders on the right flank before bursting into the box and laying the ball on a platter for Ronaldo to slot home with his left foot.

On August 1, Ronaldo scored for the 22nd straight season, and his first goal of the season with a trademark header in the 74th minute against Tunisian club US Monastir to power Al Nassr to a 2-1 win.

The goal was a historic one and enabled Ronaldo to break the record of German legend Gerd Muller, who had 144 goals with his head, while the 38-year-old now has 145 goals.

At the age of 36, Muller retired from playing in 1981 and made his final appearance for the Fort Lauderdale Strikers of the North American Soccer League.

Al-Nassr will now face Al-Hilal in the final on Saturday, 12 August at the King Fahd stadium. Al-Hilal that features stars like Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves and Malcom defeated Al-Shabab 3-1 in the other semifinal game.
