Gonzalo Higuain in a recent interview after his retirement on Friday says, "I am very proud and happy with my whole career, i played in the best leagues and teams in the world, its not easy to play at Real Madrid Fc for Seven years and also played for River plate, Napoli, Juventus, Ac Milan and now at Chelsea."

"My time with Argentina is over. Thinking things through in depth, my time is up."

I have made the decision because i want to enjoy my family, i want to spend more time with my daughter, and at the same time, i feel that i gave my country everything i could, says the Argentine striker.

" I think people show lack of respect for the work that i have done, i think when people called us a failed team, i think to fail is something completely different, to fail is not to achieve any objectives,to fail is not to qualify for the world cup, not to reach three finals even if we eventually lost them, that is my opinion.
