Simona Halep Defeats Serena Williams To Be Crowned The Women's Champion Of The 2019 Wimbledon

Simona Halep of Romania (age 27)  has beaten American Serena Williams (age 37) 6-2, 6-2 in a stunning display at the centre court, to win her second Grand Slam and first ever Wimbledon title, in a match that lasted 56 minutes.

The victory for the World No.7 "Simona Halep" makes her become the first Romanian woman to get to the Wimbledon final and to also win the title.

"It was my best match," the 27- year-old said after her second Grand Slam title following her 2018 French Open success.
