The 19-year-old Canadian teenager, brings her absolute best tennis game to defeat 37-year-old American professional tennis player Serena Williams 6-3, 7-5 on saturday, becoming Canada's first-ever Grand Slam champion in singles.
The 15th seeded Andreescu who defeated Taylor Townsend, Caroline Wozniacki, Kirsten Flipkens, and Katie Volynets on her way to the final, makes a victorious gesture with her fists and congratulates Williams for a good performance giving her a hug, She falls to the ground, with her arms spread wide, as she processed the victory.
She then rised to her feet and made a heart shape with her hands before climbing a ladder to get into her players box and hug her parents.
Andreescu who hasn't been born when Serena won her first US Open, becomes the first teenager to win their maiden Slam since Russian Sharapova at Wimbledon in 2004.
