Erling Braut Haaland, wins the Man of the Match award after his sensational debut performance for Borrusia Dortmund in the Champions League round of 16 first-leg fixture against Paris-Saint-German on Tuesday night....


The match which scoreline was goalless at half-time, returned with an existing second half moments at the Signa Iduna park. The match ended 2-1at full time in favour of Lucien Favre men, with Haaland opening the scoring on the night in the 69th minutes and handed the home team the lead  

Brazilian superstar Neymar leveled the scoreline for the visitors in the 75th minutes, that's  just six minutes after the first goal. 

Halaand went further to score a brace for himself in the 77th minutes, giving the German side a goal advantage going into the return-leg fixture in Paris come March 11.



The 19-year-old Norwegian forward, becomes the first teenager to score 10 goals in a single campaign in Champions League history, He also becomes the first player to score for two different clubs in the same UEFA Champions League season.

He is now joint Champions League top-scorers this season with Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandoski with 10 goals each.

Haaland on winning the Man of the Match award in his first appearance for Dortmund in the Champions League says...
"I am glad about the man-of-the-match award, but feel like I still can do a lot better," he said. "I have to play better at this level, have to work hard to improve."

"The result is quite a dangerous one, as PSG has a very strong team and can still turn the tie around in the return leg to qualify for the next round."

CloudNine Sports reported last Saturday that Haaland who just joined the Black and Yellow side few days before the January transfer window, has won the January Bundesliga Player of the Month and also won the Bundesliga Rookie of the Month since joining Dortmund.

He has also scored eight goals in the Champions League group stage this season for Red Bull Salzburg, the second highest-tally in the competition at that point.

Haaland has now scored a total number of 39 goals in 29 games this season. 28 goals in 22 games for Salzburg and 11 goals in 7 games since joining Dortmund.
