Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo makes first appearance for Manchester United, in the Premier League game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.

The 30- year-old since his January deadline day transfer to Manchester United, lived his dreams, when he was brought into the game to replace Anthony Martial in the 90th minutes of the game, getting 5 touches, 2 dribbles, 1 shot on target.


It was described as a big moment for the former Watford striker, who became the 200th player to make an appearance for Manchester United in the Premier League, and the first ever Nigerian to play for United.

The match ended 2-0 in favor of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men at full time, with Anthony Martial getting the first goal after nodding in a cross from Wan Bissaka in the 45 minutes and Club captain Harry Maguire also scored the second goal through nodding in a corner kick from Bruno Fernandes in the 66th minutes.




Manchester United have now done a double league win against Chelsea since 1988.

The victory for United, revived their hopes of qualifying for Uefa Champions League next season and even make the battle for a top four finish more fierce as Manchester United move to seventh place with 38 points in the league standings, 3 points behind Chelsea who is in fourth place with 41 points.
