Basketball Star, Kevin Durant Becomes One of Four Brooklyn Nets Players To Have Tested Positive For Coronavirus
NBA star Kevin Durant has on Tuesday, tested positive for coronavirus.
The 31-year-old basketball player is one of four of his Brooklyn Nets teammates to test positive for COVID-19.
Four other unnamed players on the Brooklyn Net team had tested positive for the virus, and only one player has shown symptoms, while the other three are asymptomatic.
According to statement released by the Brooklyn Net team;
"All four players are presently isolated and under the care of team physicians,”
“The organization is currently notifying anyone who has had known contact with the players, including recent opponents, and is working closely with the state and local health authorities on reporting.”
"All players and members of the travelling team, have been asked to remain isolated, and closely monitor their health, and to initiate regular conversation with team medical staff.
"The health of our players and staff is of the highest priority to the organization and the team is doing everything within its power to ensure that those affected receive the best care possible."
CloudNine Sports understands that Brooklyn Nets were set to play Los Angeles Lakers last week, before the NBA suspended it's 2019/20 season immediately after Utah Jazz team players, Donovan Mitchell '23' and Rudy Gobert '27', tested positive for the COVID-19.
According to the New York Times, at least seven NBA players have tested positive for the virus.
The 2012 and 2016 Olympic Gold medalist with the United States sends a message to everyone;
"Everyone please be careful, take care of yourself and quarantine,”
“We’re going to get through this.”
