Juventus Confirms That Midfielder Blaise Matuidi Have Tested Positive For Coronavirus.

Juventus football club have reported on Tuesday that Blaise Matuidi has tested positive for coronavirus_COVID-19.


The 32-year-old Frenchman has been in voluntary home isolation, and he has been the second Juventus player to have test positive to the virus, after his teammate Daniele Rugani who tested positive to the virus last week, and has reported that he is doing fine.


Juventus made the official statement through the club website detailing the midfielders condition at the moment;
"The player, as of Wednesday 11 March, has been in voluntary home isolation. He will continue to be monitored and will follow the same regime. He is well and is asymptomatic"

According to the World Health Organization, more than 184,000 people have been diagnosed globally, across 155 countries, including over 27,000 in Italy.

The Italian government has halted all sporting activities in the country in order to reduce the spread of the virus, with all Serie A games expected to resume 3rd April.

Former Paris-Saint-German player Matuidi, has only made 13 appearance for Maurizio Sarri's side this season, one of which was his 100th appearance for Juventus in the Serie A home game against Genoa last October.
