Good News, As Nottingham Forest Players Test Negative To Coronavirus.

Good news as Championship club Nottingham Forest have confirmed that all players and staff of the club have tested negative for the fearful Coronavirus.


The club took a drastic action to conduct a medical test for the entire team players and staff that came into contact with the owner last week.

52-year-old Greek shipowner, Evangelos Marinakis who is the owner of the club and also own Olympiacos FC in Greece was tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday.

According to a statement released by the club via their website says;
"Nottingham Forest can confirm that all players, staff and officers have been tested for the coronavirus and all results have come back negative."

"Within hours of receiving the news that owner Evangelos Marinakis had tested positive for the virus, the club took swift action to arrange tests for the entire first-team players, staff and officers that came into contact with the owner last week."

The club is now set to remain in close dialogue with the relevant governing bodies and football authorities to ensure the correct measures are taken.

Nottingham Forest are currently in fifth place in the championship standings with 60 points after 37 matches.

Their next trip to play Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough on Saturday still remains in doubt, having suffered a 3-0 bashing defeat last Friday at home to Millwall.
