Cristiano Ronaldo Will Remain Self-quarantined At His Hometown, After Teammate Tests Positive For Coronavirus
Portuguese international, Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly told Juventus he won't be returning to Turin after teammate Daniele Rugani was confirmed to have tested positive for coronavirus.
The 35-year-old who featured for Juvetus in the 2-0 victory against rivals Inter Milan in the serieA last Sunday, travelled immediately to celebrate with his sister on her birthday, and also to see his sick mum who is recovering from stroke at Madeira.
He currently have no symptoms of the virus, but will remain in quarantine there in his home country for several days, until when he is expected to return to his club.
Daniele Rugani has been quarantined and he is receiving treatments over possible recovery against the deadly virus which has killed many people.
CloudNine Sports had earlier reported, that all sporting events in Italy have been suspended for now by the Italian government, which gives Cristiano Ronaldo and his family the opportunity to stay in Madeira until when situation of things change in the country..
The Champions League games between Juventus and Olympique Lyonnais scheduled for next Tuesday, have already been postponed by UEFA, following the quarantine imposed on players of the Juventus squad.
Further decisions on the postponed match will be communicated in due course.
