Manchester United Advances To The Quater-Final Of The FA Cup.

Manchester United on Thursday, travelled to play Derby County in the fifth round of the FA Cup, the visit ended in a 3-0 victory in favour of the United team at the Pride park stadium.


Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men cruise to a comfortable victory over EFL Championship side Derby County with Luke Shaw opening the scoring for the reds in the 33rd minutes.

January signing Odion Ighalo scored a brace on the night in the 41st and 70th minutes of the match respectively, giving them qualification to the next round of the competition, ahead of Phillip Cocu's men.

Odion Ighalo is the second ever African player to bag a brace for Manchester United since Quinton Fortune against Bradford in 2000.

The fixture saw 34-year-old Wayne Rooney play his former team Manchester United since after he left the club in 2017. He is currently the leading goal-scorer for the club with 253 goals.

The 12th time winner of the tournament, will now pay visit to Norwich City at the Carrow Road, for the quater-final fixture later this month, after the draws was made yesterday.
