Liverpool star man Sadio Mane has taken a commendable step, to help fight the Coronavirus Outbreak in his home country Senegal.
The present African best Footballer of the year, has made a spontaneous donation of 30 millions FCFA , around 45,000 euros (£41,000) to the Senegalese health committee fighting against coronavirus
According to the nations ministry of health, the total Number Of Confirmed Coronavirus Cases In Senegal Has Reached 27, But this Figure Is continually on the rise.
Flights To And From France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Algeria, Tunisia and some West African conutries are currently suspended by the Senegalese officials.
The 27-year-old shared a video via twitter courtesy of his agent, urging his compatriots to take the virus ‘extremely seriously’ and also gave advice on how to prevent the virus from spreading, he asked them ti wash and disinfect their hands regularly.
The agent further revealed that Mane decided to make the donation, when he saw the evolution of the increase COVID-19 situation in senegal.
This is definitely not the first time that Mane has sent money back to his home country, he has financed the contructions of a school, a sports staduim, a mosque and a hospital in his village,with a reported free of around €270,000.
He gives each family €70/month and makes provision for free clothes to kids in his hometown Bambali.
Mane and his teammates who have been in isolation, are undergoing daily training using individual schedule, as they wait for the resumption of the Premier League on April 4.
