Willian And Pedro Have Both Agree To A Short-Term Contract Extension With Chelsea Till The End Of The 2019-20 Season.

Willian and Pedro have both agreed to extend a short-term contract with Chelsea till the remainder of the 2019-20 season.


Both players contracts was set to expire at the end of June, but due to the global pandemic and the subsequent delayed conclusion to the campaign, they will now be available for the remaining Premier League fixtures in 2019/20, as well as any future involvement in the FA Cup and Champions League.

According to Sky Sports, Chelsea faced losing four players at the end of June when football was originally suspended in March but have since extended deals for Olivier Giroud and Willy Caballero for another season and have now secured the services of their wingers until July 26.

Willian has been a regular under Frank Lampard this season, playing 38 times in all competitions. 
He has scored seven goals and set up a further six, and earlier this season made his 300th appearance for the club in what is his seventh year in west London.

The 31-year-old Brazilian, has attracted interest from Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Pedro has made 18 appearances for the Blues this season ,13 of them starts and scored twice which came in the game against Everton before the lockdown break, and the other goal which was a penalty against Grimsby, on the evening he captained Chelsea for the first time.

The 32-year-old Spaniard could likely be joining Itslian club side Roma nee to season.

Chelsea next play Manchester City at Stamford Bridge on Thursday night in the Premier League with both players available for selection, as they continue the battle for a Champions qualification spot next season.
