Bundesliga Star Kai Havertz has asked to exit Bayer Leverkusen this summer.

The request have given top European clubs a boost in their pursuit for the youngster.






According to German News outlet Bild, Havertz has told the German club side that he has had enough at the BayArena and wants to the club this summer.

The 21-year-old who enjoyed a sensational performance for Bayer Leverkusen this season has attracted so many interest from top European clubs, with Chelsea emergng top contenders alongside Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Manchester United.

Meanwhile, Frank Lampard side are in pole position to sign the German international who has a £90million buyout clause this summer, and are willing to pay in installments.

The deal if completed by Chelsea, will see Harvertz linking up with his fellow new teammates Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech going forward at Stamford Bridge next season.

Harvertz began his career as a youth for Bayer Leverkusen before joining the senior team in October 2016, and has since then scored 45 goals in 148 appearances.

He scored 17 goals in 43 games across all competitions for the club this season, as they finished fifth place in the league standings and were also runners up in the German Cup where they lost to Bayern Munich 4-2 last Saturday.
