'We Can Beat Any Team!.. Says Cristiano Ronaldo After His Record-Breaking Goals Against Spurs.
Cristiano Ronaldo record-breaking goals ensured that Manchester United celebrate a significant win at Old Trafford, beating Antonio Conte's Tottenham 3-2 on Saturday evening.
Ronaldo scored his first hat-trick for Manchester United following his return to the side last summer, and his second ever hat-trick for the Red Devils having scored a hat-trick against Newcastle United in January 2008, making it a 59th career hat-tricks for arguably the best player the world have seen.
Having been controversially left out of last weekend's 4-1 loss in the Manchester Derby and returning to Portugal, the 37-year-old didn't take long to score on his comeback, as his first-half double in the 12th and 38th minutes against Tottenham saw him become the all time highest goalscorer for club and country according to FIFA with 806th career goals, surpassing Josef Bican 805 goals.
Austrian Bican, whose career spanned from 1931 to 1955, scored the majority of his goals for Slavia Prague, plundering a remarkable 427 goals in 221 games for the Czech side.
He played for two national sides, first for his native Austria and then for Czechoslovakia. He retired at the age of 42.
Cristiano, though, wasn't finished on the night despite Spurs coming back from behind twice to draw level courtesy of Harry Kane's penalty goal in the 35th minute, and Harry Maguire's own goal in the 72nd minute.
He completed his hat-trick with less than 10 minutes left, heading home an Alex Telles cross in typical fashion, making it 807th career goals for the Portuguese international.
He was then immediately withdrawn for Victor Lindelof as Ralf Rangnick looked to narrowly secure all three points.
The win allows the Red Devils to go fourth, though Arsenal can move into the Champions League places with a win at home to Leicester on Sunday. The Gunners currently have four games in hand over United and sit just two points behind.

Following his record-breaking goals on the pitch, Ronaldo took to his personal Instagram page to reveal that he is excited about hitting another landmark in the history of football.
“Tremendously happy with my first hat-trick since I came back to Old Trafford!.. said the former Real Madrid and Juventus man.
“Nothing beats the feeling of being back on the pitch and help the team with goals and effort. We’ve proven once again that we can beat any team in any given day, as long as we work hard and stand together as one.
“There are no limits for Man United! No matter what! Let’s go, Devils!”
