The England international Declan Rice has been major club's top transfer target this summer (Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea), with United emerging top contender for the 23-year-old.

Man United are ready to break their transfer record to land Declan Rice and make him the signing of the first summer under anticipated new boss Erik ten Hag.

Rice and his representatives have reportedly made it clear to West Ham that they feel this year is the right time for him to move on and further his career.

According to transfer analyst Fabrizio Romano, Manchester United has additional transfer objectives in addition to the main targets.

Romano was cited as stating the following when appearing on Rio Ferdinand's FIVE YouTube channel (via West Ham Zone): “I see some names at the moment that are not something concrete, for example Declan Rice. He’s always been top of the list for Man United but there is no negotiation. There is nothing going on with West Ham, so at the moment we can’t say that they are negotiating with Declan Rice.”
