Ajax And Borussia Dortmund Reach Agreement Over Sebastien Haller Transfer

Sebastien Haller's signing by Borussia Dortmund is expected to be completed this week following a transfer fee agreement with Ajax.

The Black and Yellows will reportedly pay the Ivory Coast international a fee of 31 million euros plus four million euros in bonuses.

Prior to signing a four year contract with his new club, Haller will have his medical exams in Dortmund on Thursday.

Borussia Dortmund's initial choice to replace Erling Haaland was Sebastien Haller, and negotiations with Ajax heated up over the weekend.

The Black and Yellows were reportedly prepared to offer the striker 33 million euros plus bonuses, but it now appears that they will sign him for a 31 million euro upfront payment.

In just 42 games for the Dutch giants in the just concluded season, Haller scored 34 goals and provided nine assists, including two goals and two assists in two matches against Borussia Dortmund.

Sébastien Haller joined the club in January 2021, and has gone on to score 47 goals and gave 16 assists in 65 games while producing 11 goals & 2 assists in 8 Champions League games.

Three years after leaving Eintracht Frankfurt for West Ham United, the 28-year-old will now make his way back to the Bundesliga.

Haller might begin working out with his new teammates the following week when the Borussia Dortmund athletes begin their preseason training. On July 5, when Lüner SV is the opponent, the striker might make his debut.
