Monaco Has Reached An Agreement To sign Liverpool's Minamino.

Monaco have agreed a deal worth €15.5m + €3m add-ons (€18m) with Liverpool to sign Japan forward Takumi Minamino.




The fee is an initial £12.9m (€15m) plus a further £2.6m (€3m) in add ons, Personal terms never an issue, as the 27 year old wanted the move for first team football.


Minamino joined Liverpool from Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020 and has 55 appearances for the club, scoring 14 goals, despite failing to secure a place in Jurgen Klopp's regular starting XI.


Before returning to Anfield last summer, the attacker spent the second half of the 2020/21 season on loan at Southampton, netting twice in ten Premier League outings.

Last season, Minamino appeared in 22 games across all competitions for Liverpool, scoring 10 goals, including crucial goals (four goals and provided one assist) in the EFL Cup, and found the net three times in the FA Cup, with the Reds winning both competitions



This summer, Jurgen Klopp has already signed forwards Fabio Carvalho and Darwin Nunez for a club-record £85 million, with Sadio Mane poised to depart after Liverpool agreed to sell the Senegalese international to Bayern Munich for up to £35 million.

Minamino is expected to complete the move to France in the coming days and become the latest senior forward to leave Liverpool following Sadio Mane and Divock Origi.


Liverpool who lost last season Premier League title to Man City on last day, would begin the 2022/23 season with a lunchtime trip to newly-promoted Fulham on Saturday August 6.

It will be the fourth season in a row in which the Reds have started a new campaign against a Premier League newcomer
