The Catalan giants enter the match after defeating Real Madrid 1-0 on Saturday night, while Juventus kicked off their season-opening preparations with a 2-0 triumph over Guadalajara.

Before leaving for their preseason tour of North America, Barcelona began their preseason preparations with a 1-1 draw against Olot on July 13. On July 19, Xavi's team opened their schedule with an impressive 6-0 victory over Phil Neville's Inter Miami team.

The Catalan giants then faced Real Madrid in the Clasico on Saturday night in Las Vegas, where Raphinha's goal in the first half proved to be the deciding factor.

Following his transfer from Bayern Munich, Robert Lewandowski started the first 45 minutes as the Barcelona attack's captain. Another recent arrival, Andreas Christensen, also found a place in the starting lineup at the center of the defense.

Barcelona will now play Juventus and New York Red Bulls in their final two friendlies on tour before taking on Pumas UNAM in the Joan Gamper Trophy on August 7. Franck Kessie, who made an impact early in his time at the club, was also involved.

On July 13, Rayo Vallecano will visit Xavi's team to kick off the 2022–23 La Liga season. Rayo Vallecano will be looking to rebound from a largely disappointing 2021–22 campaign in which they finished second in Spain's top division, 13 points behind eventual champion Real Madrid.
