Mo Salah Finally Extends His Contract With Liverpool Until 2025.
Mohamed Salah has signed a long-term contract with Liverpool on Friday, which is said to have made the Egyptian the highest-paid player in the club’s history.
After months of lengthy negotiations, Salah and his agent Ramy Abbas Issa, the forward has finally put pen to paper on a deal that will keep him at the club until 2025.
The shock announcement was made on Friday, with Liverpool posting a video showing Salah confirming the news with the words every Reds fan have been waiting to hear “Salah stays.”
Now, the details of Salah’s new deal have been revealed, with The Times‘ reporting that Liverpool’s No.11 will earn a weekly wage in excess of £350,000 per week, more than any other player in the club’s history.
This comes as a reward for his five years of outstanding services since joining from Roma in 2017, scoring 156 goals in 254 appearances so far in his Anfield career.
Salah who finished as joint Premier top scorer, and was named PFA Player’s Player and FWA Player of the Year last season, will look to continues his adventure with Liverpool especially now that his African teammate Sadio Mane departed for German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Speaking to the Liverpool's official website, Salah said: “I feel great and i am excited to win trophies with the club. It’s a happy day for everyone.
“It takes a little bit of time, I think, to renew, but now everything is done so we just need to focus on what’s next.
“I think you can see in the last five or six years the team was always going forward. Last season we were close to winning four, but unfortunately in the last week of the season we lost two trophies.
“I think we are in a good position to fight for everything. We have new signings as well. We just need to keep working hard, have a good vision, be positive and go for everything again.”
“My message to the fans is the players in the team want to give our best next season to try to win all the trophies... He added.
“As usual, you stay behind us and give us a big push and I am sure we are going to win trophies again together.”

Following the sale of Mane to Bayern earlier, it was important for Jurgen Klopp to see Salah commit his future to the club.
The 30-year-old is expected to lead the Liverpool attack along with Luiz Diaz and new addition Darwin Nunez.
Liverpool begin the 2022/23 Premier League season with a lunchtime trip to newly-promoted Fulham on Saturday August 6.
It will be the fourth season in a row in which Liverpool have started a new campaign against a Premier League newcomers.
