OFFICIAL: Raphinha Officially Unveiled As A Barcelona Player.

Raphinha, a Brazilian forward, has been acquired by Barcelona from Leeds United for up to £55 million.

At the Catalan club's training facility on Friday, the 25-year-old Brazilian forward was introduced to the crowd.

Raphinha, who cost Leeds £17 million in 2020 after leaving French club Rennes, played 65 times in the Premier League, contributing 12 assists and scoring 17 goals.

Raphinha told Barca TV, "It's a dream come true since I was a youngster.

"I'll do my best to deliver."

In a club statement announcing Raphinha's departure, Leeds United paid gratitude to the player: "We want to officially express our profound appreciation to Raphinha for his work and dedication while working for the football club.

"Until the very end of his tenure at Elland Road, he demonstrated unwavering passion and professionalism, and his celebrations at the Brentford Community Stadium will live long in the memory."

On the final day of the 2021–2022 season, Leeds defeated Brentford 2-1 thanks to Raphinha's penalty, securing their spot in the Premier League.

On Wednesday, Leeds and Barcelona reached a preliminary agreement. The initial fee, which is expected to be £50 million, could increase to £55 million with add-ons. The Brazilian forward is anticipated to sign a five-year deal, however specifics of the agreement have not yet been revealed.

Raphinha thought to be moving to Chelsea before Barcelona showed interest.

The Elland Road attacker is reportedly a target for Chelsea's Premier League rivals Arsenal and Spurs, although he has always favoured a move to La Liga.

In October, he made his full senior debut for Brazil. Since then, he has played in nine matches and scored three goals for the team.

Following Kalvin Phillips' £45 million transfer to Manchester City this summer, Raphinha is the second significant player to leave Leeds.
