Inaki Williams Finally Switches Nationality From Spain To Ghana.

Inaki Williams, a standout for Athletic Bilbao, has declared that the Black Stars of Ghana will be his international football team.



The striker announced his decision to play for Ghana on Tuesday via his social media accounts, saying it was part of his desire to give back.


His parents were  immigrants from Ghana, who traveled across the Sahara desert on foot in search of better lands in Europe. They gave birth to him in Bilbao, Spain.

Williams became the second black football player to play for Los Leones in the club's 124-year existence, despite Bilbao only signing players who were either born in the Basque Country or who developed their football skills at a Basque club.



Williams stated in the video that he was prepared to defend the Black Stars' colors and that it was time for him to learn more about his roots in Ghana and Africa.

Every move we take ahead has a purpose, he remarked. a progression. a look into the future that is itself left behind. a relic. My parents instilled in me principles based on love, respect, and humility.


"They have shown me how to appreciate life. In the ongoing effort to develop emotionally and professionally as an individual while also continuing to grow and work in that direction.


Tariq Lamptey, Inaki Williams, Mohammed Salisu, Stephan Ambrosius, Patrick Pfeffer and Ransford_Yeboah are all available for the Ghanian national team, according to Ghana FA President Kurt Okraku.


Coach Otto Addo's side are set to put up a strong challenge at the upcoming biggest sporting event in the world in Qatar later this year, having secured one of Africa five tickets for the showpiece.
