Another Talented Chelsea Defender Is Set To Seal A Move To West Ham United.

Emerson Palmieri, a defender for Chelsea, is reportedly in a deal to move to London rivals West Ham United for £15 million.

Reputable Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that West Ham United has finally secured the services of Emerson Palmieri, a defender who will be moving from Chelsea to the London Stadium.

The Chelsea defender will join a side that desperately needs left-back reinforcements. Currently, Aaron Cresswell, the only senior specialist defender in the position, has shown himself to be a liability. The 32-year-old English veteran is not getting any younger, therefore West Ham has to replace him.

Emerson is a player who is at the height of his abilities and has sufficient experience playing in some of the top leagues in Europe. He is the ideal candidate and ought to be a significant addition for West Ham. The Italian international had a significant impact on his country's UEFA Euro 2020 triumph and had a successful loan season with Lyon last year.

After communicating for some time, Chelsea and West Ham have now agreed on a deal for £13 million. If the bonus provisions are satisfied, the package could increase to as much as £15 million. It is a reasonable bargain for all parties. The situation changed as a result of the recent reopening of negotiations between Chelsea and West Ham regarding a transfer for Emerson.

He will have his initial medical later today, and if everything goes according to plan, he will sign a contract with the Hammers till 2027. To his credit, David Moyes has transformed West Ham in recent months, and Emerson from Chelsea might turn out to be a brilliant signing by the end of the 2022–23 season.
