Cristiano Ronaldo Blast The Media For Telling Lies, And Set To Reveal The Truth About His Future.

After reading so many "falsehoods" this summer, Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has promised to soon reveal "the truth" about his future.

The Portuguese player wants to leave United, but according to new manager Erik ten Hag, he is "not for sale."

Nevertheless, it's now believed that United might let the 37-year-old to go before the transfer window closes on September 1.

"When they interview in a few weeks, "they [will] know the truth," Ronaldo wrote on Instagram.

In response to a rumour that Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone was interested in signing him, Ronaldo liked a post on a fan account.

The ex-Real Madrid forward, though, said in response to the post: "The media is lying.

"I keep a notepad, and out of the 100 news reports I wrote in the most recent few months, only five were accurate. Imagine the situation. Keep using that advice.

The deal Ronaldo signed when he returned to United from Juventus a year ago has one year left on it.

United finished sixth in the Premier League last season, but despite his return, they were unable to qualify for the Champions League.

They have also began the new season under new manager Erik ten Hag in a disastrous manner, after losing their first two games of the season, and are now sitting bottom of the standings for the first time since 1992–1993.

"Why does the best player of all time (in my opinion) have to wait two weeks to tell Manchester United supporters the truth?" asked Ronaldo's former United teammate Gary Neville on social media.

Ronaldo, who led United in scoring with 24 goals across all competitions last season, was absent from their preseason tour of Thailand and Australia.

Ronaldo and several other players departed the game early after being replaced before halftime of United's final exhibition game against Rayo Vallecano, which Ten Hag deemed "unacceptable."
