Man City Cruise Past Wolves To Continue Impressive Form.

 Manchester City defeated 10-man Wolves 3-0 at Molineux to move to the top of the Premier League standings. Erling Haaland scored once more in the victory.

In the first minute of play, Jack Grealish gave the game a head start before Haaland quickly doubled the lead with his 11th Premier League goal of the year in only his seventh appearance in the league.

When Nathan Collins was dismissed for a reckless and dangerously high challenge on Grealish, Wolves' problems only got worse. Bruno Lage's team was then given the unenviable task of playing the Premier League champions for an hour with just 10 players.

For Pep Guardiola's team, who are still unbeaten, it was an easy afternoon's work thanks to Phil Foden's second-half goal from Kevin De Bruyne's assist—his second of the contest. The three points also moved them to the top of the Premier League standings.

Guardiola, praised his team and Grealish in particular following the win at Molineux;

"The game started really well for us with the two goals and the red card and after the Champions League to come here at 12:30 with the quality they have, they can keep the ball and transitions are fast, it was an incredible victory.

“We struggled a lot after half-time until Phil Foden's goal so a lot of credit to Wolves.

"Jack Grealish played really good. He was strong and he made a good goal coming in. Hopefully he can make a good international performance and come back fit.

"Fingers crossed all the players come back fit but it is important for them ahead of the World Cup but hopefully they come back good, ready for the derby."

Wolves will be back to action against West Ham United on Saturday, October 1 at 5.30 p.m. following the break for international play, and while next for Man City is the Manchester derby, when they host Man United on Sunday, October 2.
