Oghenekaro Etebo Completes Move To Top Greek Club.
Oghenekaro Etebo, a Nigerian international, has been signed by Greek Super League team Aris Thessaloniki FC for £1.5m on a three-year contract, according to a statement on their official website.
Before the transfer window in Greece ended on September 15, the versatile midfielder's deal was completed.
Etebo's four-year affiliation with Championship team Stoke City, which he signed from Feirense in 2018, has come to an end with his transfer to Aris.
He made a total of 51 appearances in all competitions while playing for the Potters, notching two goals and an assist while playing for 3,618 minutes.
Due to a lack of first team opportunities, Etebo requested a transfer this summer. His final match wearing a Stoke City jersey will be against Sheffield Wednesday on October 22, 2019.
As a Stoke City player, the 26-year-old enjoyed loan stints at Getafe, Galatasaray, and Watford.
He is an important member of the Nigerian national team, representing the Super Eagles at the 2018 World Cup and the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, as well as the Dream Team VI at the 2016 Olympic Games.
