Clubless Ronaldo Training Alone At Former Club Real Madrid While His Future Is Decided.

Cristiano Ronaldo has been granted permission to return to Real Madrid's Valdebebas training base as he plots his next move following his departure from Manchester United.

The 37-year-old is currently without a club after his contract with his employers Manchester United was terminated last month just two days before Portugal began their World Cup campaign.

In an interview with Piers Morgan, Ronaldo heavily criticised the United management and manager Erik ten Hag.

He told Morgan that he didn't "have respect" for Ten Hag and accused United of showing a lack of "empathy" when his young daughter was hospitalized in July.

Ronaldo had made a then-world-record move to Real Madrid from Man United in 2009 and left for Juventus in 2018, before returning to Old Trafford again in the summer of 2021.

The Portugal's captain journey has already proved to be a bitter disappointment after he was dropped ahead of Portugal's last-16 match against Switzerland, and again against Morocco who eventually sent them packing in the quarter-finals.

However, Ronaldo is now training with Madrid on a limited basis to keep fit before he signs for a new club.

This was revealed by football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

Romano tweeted on Wednesday: “Cristiano Ronaldo has trained at Real Madrid sporting center Valdebebas in the last hours — on a separated pitch.

“As revealed by @relevo/@hugocerezo, Cristiano’s just working there to keep his form thanks to great relationship with the club, waiting for new chapter.”

Madrid president Florentino Perez has reportedly told the striker Valdebebas is his home and that he can train there whenever he wants with all facilities guaranteed.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner, made 438 appearances, scored 450 goals in nine seasons at Madrid between 2009 and 2018, winning the La Liga twice, and the Champions League four times.

Ronaldo has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nassr, where he is expected to sign a two-and-a-half-year deal imminently.
