Terem Moffi Joins OGC Nice For A €30m Package From Lorient.

French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice have completed the signing of Terem Moffi  from rivals FC Lorient.


The Nigerian striker, signs for Nice on loan deal until the end of the season with an option to buy for a total package of €30m, add-ons included (€2.5m loan fee, €22.5M obligation to buy,  €5M in add ons). When the transfer will become permanent the striker will sign a contract to 2027.

OGC Nice have been persistent and unwavering in their pursuit for the 23 year-old and will now get their man at the seventh time of asking after Lorient rejected six previous bids for the striker.

He had missed training on Monday after being left out of Lorient’s 2-1 win over Rennes last Friday, a move which sparked rumours of his impending exit from the club.

Nice won the race for Moffi, who had also been a target in the January window for Ligue 1 rivals  Olympique Marseille and clubs in the Premier League, West Ham United, Southampton, Bournemouth respectively.

Moffi has a return of 40 League goal contribution across 3 seasons for Lorient, and has already scored 12 goals in the 18 Ligue 1 games this season (35 shots, 20 shots on target. Only Kylian Mbappe who has 13 goals for Paris Saint-Germain, has scored more league goals  than Moffi.
