Man United Agrees Personal Terms With Chelsea Midfielder Mason Mount.

 Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Mason Mount and are now expected to sign the Chelsea midfielder.

Mount has one year left on his contract and appears determined to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, with Chelsea wanting to exact as high a fee as possible for their two-time Player of the Year and former Academy Player of the Year, rather than lose him on a free transfer.

The 24-year-old, hasn't managed to agree on a new contract with the West London club who are set to trim down their over bloated squad after missing out on any European competition next season, and United have taken full advantage.

It has been disastrous for everyone at Chelsea under new owner Todd Boehly after spending more than £600m on transfers, going through three managers but still finished in the bottom half of the table (12th).

The Blues could see as many as 15 players depart the club with new boss Mauricio Pochettino backed to complete a mass squad overhaul.

Mount is said to be available for a bid of roughly £55 million ($67.9m), while Chelsea price the England star at closer to £85million.

According to The Telegraph, an agreement over personal terms for Mount is unlikely to be an issue with the England international known to be fully open to a move to Old Trafford.

United manager Erik ten Hag is in desperate need of a midfielder, and wants Mount in his team, and talks have progressed positively in recent days since the two clubs played each other last Thursday. 

Fred and Scott McTominay could be leaving amid interest from Fulham and Newcastle respectively.

United chiefs are also keen to complete early business this summer after Saturday's FA Cup final as they look to avoid the uncertainty of last year’s close-season window.

Mount is also reportedly wanted by Liverpool and Arsenal but it appears United are confident of closing in on his signature.

Man United are set to face arch rivals and Premier League champions Man City at Wembley on Saturday, where they will look to win their second domestic trophy of the season.
