Lionel Messi Crowns his 700th Appearance For Barcelona With A Goal And Two Assists

He becomes only the second player to reach that milestone, after Xavi Hernandez who is first on the list with 767 appearances.

Lionel Messi 700th Appearance


The 32-year-old man Lionel Messi at age 17, made his debut for the team managed by Frank Rijkaard in October 2004, against Espanyol in the La liga. He was at the time the youngest player to represent Barcelona in an official competition. 

Messi went on to play nine matches for the Senior team that season (2004/2005), and in May that season, Messi became the youngest ever player to score for the club, He scored his first career goal for Barcelona with a powerful left foot finish from an assist by Ronaldinho in his debut game in the Uefa Champions League against Albacete.

On his birthday in June 2005, Messi signed his first and official contract as a Senior team Barcelona player and since then his buyout clause has increased massively.

Lionel Messi now the Captain of the Catalian side and currently wears the No.10 shirt, has helped the team to win 34 trophies and has now scored a total number of 613 goals, made 239 assists for the club and 48 hattricks for Barcelona.



Messi has also won six FIFA balloon d'ors/ the current FIFA best men's player for 2019 coupled with several other individual awards.
