Lewandowski Scores A Second Brace As Barcelona Cruise To Victory Against Real Valladolid.

Barcelona cruised to an emphatic 4-0 victory over Real Valladolid in the La Liga on Sunday night.

After all of the issues with his registration, Jules Kounde finally made his Barcelona debut, and it was worth the wait.

Barca started the match at the Camp Nou a better side, as the visitors struggled to get into the game.

New signing Robert Lewandowski opened scoring after converting a perfect cross from Raphinha just 24 minutes into the game.

Pedri scored his first goal of the season, and extended Barcelona's lead right before halftime (43 mins), who riffled a curling strike into the top-left corner after a nice pass by Ousmane Dembele from the right touchline. 

Barca's new number nine made it three after the break (64 mins) with an outrageous backheel that deflected off a defender beating goalkeeper Jordi Masip. It was Lewandowski's second brace after scoring twice in the 4-1 trashing away to Real Sociedad last Sunday. 

The Poland striker had a golden opportunity to complete a hat-trick in added time, but Masip made a great stop to keep out his close range shot.

Substitute Sergi Roberto added to the scoreline in stoppage time (90+2 mins), as he was in the right place at the right time to strike home the rebound and wrap up the points for the Blaugrana side.

It was a second win from three games for Xavi's men in the new season, having played a goalless draw at home to Rayo Vallecano in their opening La Liga game.

The result moved them up to second in the table with seven points, two behind 100% winning record leaders so far Real Betis, and provisionally one ahead of Real Madrid, who face Espanyol later on Sunday.

Barcelona are next in action on Saturday evening when they travel to Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan to take on Sevilla. On Wednesday September 7, they then have a Champions League group-stage opener against Viktoria Plzen to contend with.
