Chelsea Overtakes Barcelona, Arsenal Having Reached Full Agreement With Leeds For Raphinha!

Chelsea and Leeds United have reached full agreement for Raphinha!

The Leeds United winger has been heavily linked with a move away from the Yorkshire club this summer.

Raphinha has enjoyed two fine seasons since moving to Premier League in 2020 after Leeds spent £17m plus add-ons to sign him from Rennes following their promotion from the Championship.

The 25-year-old Brazilian, has scored 17 Premier League goals in 65 top-flight appearances, and his current deal at the Elland Road is due to expire in 2024.

According to the Athletic, Chelsea are understood to be close to agreeing a fee with Leeds for Raphinha but the race for his signature is not yet closed.

An official bid accepted around £60/65m which includes add-ons, and main part of amount to be paid immediately. It’s done between clubs.

Talks are now ongoing on player side, and agent Deco (who was a former Chelsea player) on personal terms and contract.

Arsenal and Barcelona were in talks with Leeds also today morning, but as it stands, the Blues look set to beat both clubs to the player’s signature following their takeover by new owner Todd Boehly last month.

Raphinha was long expected to join Barca this summer, but the Spanish giant are not currently in a financial position to make a deal and Arsenal have yet to reach the level Chelsea are at.
